ANDREW HEWKIN.M.A.


Biography.
Andrew Hewkin was born in the Midlands (UK) in 1949.He studied fine art at Stourbridge Art College in 1967; The West of England School of Art 67/70. He obtained a V class honors degree in painting at The Royal College of Art in 1973.He won The Burston award for painting in 1972 and The John Minton
traveling Scholarship in 1973.He was a regular exhibitor at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in the 70’s and a regular contributor to Vogue Magazine.


He has
traveled the world for the last 40 years visiting over 50 countries in his odyssey of visual excitement. He has exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, South Africa, Barbados, Munich, Zagreb, Vienna and Marbella. A retrospective at Sandy Lane, Barbados in 2001.

He exhibited at Hamilton’s of Mayfair for 20 years and now exhibits annually at The Gallery in Cork Street, Mayfair London. (Since 1999)

He has been commissioned by Thomas Cook, British Airways, Playboy Magazine, Tiger Tops (Nepal) Aerolinas Argentinas, The BBC World Service, Baring securities, New Man (Paris), Royal Westmoreland (Barbados), Dunhill and Cartier. He also designed the logo for the hologram to be projected over Tokyo Harbor Peace Concert to commemorate the end of the 1st. Gulf War.

He is collected by many private collectors and public collections worldwide (and very widely amongst celebrities)
